I have
to admit I am feeling a bit scared. Here we are standing quietly
in line waiting for the battle to start and the noise from the huge
Celtic army is so loud. Still when I remember the governor's words
about us being the best soldiers in the world and to remember all
those years of training I feel better. I have been praying to our
Roman
Gods to keep us safe.
Here come
the Celts! We will not move though and I am determined to do my
job well. See they cannot break through, just like the governor
said. This is better, the Celts are falling back now and we are
moving forward pushing them back. Our cavalry is charging them and
they are running. This will be a great victory for us and I will
have my share of the glory. I have to say I feel a little ashamed
at our last order to take no prisoners. We have to kill everyone,
including the women and children. The governor says that we must
teach these Celts never to fight against us again. I suppose he
is right, anyway it's an order and I must obey.
