This is the day we have been waiting for and I feel sure now that we will win. We have a huge army , although the Romans do look calm waiting there in silence for the battle to start. Not like us, the noise is deafening. Look, there is the Queen in her chariot . She does look proud. We have been praying to our Celtic Gods for victory and we are all eager to start. A lot of the men have brought their families to watch us win the battle but I am not sure if I like that. Here we go. This charge of ours will smash through the Roman line…but wait.. they are standing there like a wall of metal and we cannot break through.

We are being pushed back now and here comes their cavalry. It is no good we cannot beat them. The Romans are killing everyone and now they are turning on the women and children. This is awful, I must get the Queen away to safety. Some of us thought that it was a mistake to think we could fight the Romans, they are just too strong for us.
