Founded and blessed in 1977,
this Sikh gurudwara occupies a row of former Victorian houses in Soho Road.
Its founder was a Sikh saint, Sant Baba Puran Singh Ji, who left for the heavenly
abode in 1983. His funeral was attended by over 10,000 Sikhs.
There is now a new community block with an arched grand entrance porch surmounted
by a dome rising to an impressive height, all in a style representing Indian
architecture.
