Literacy problems to solve for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 The letters in each of the words below can be rearranged to create a new word. For example act can be rearranged to create the word cat. See how many you can do. ban – low – ten – pit – sit – was – tan – ink – nap – If you found those easy try these: Ache, arch, lane, ride, same, nest.
Can you write a sentence where each new word begins with the next letter of the alphabet? E.g. All blue cats dance elegantly for gentle horses in jackets, kicking large melons.
See how many you can do. You can start anywhere in the alphabet but the words must be in alphabetical order and you cannot miss any out. Lets us know if you come up with a sentence that uses all 26!
The spelling of a word may change according to its function in a sentence. Change these verbs into nouns. Change these verbs into things you can do or give.
Change these verbs into people's jobs.
